Heyo,
How's everyone? Thanks for dropping by to fave and watch. I'll reply to your feedback as soon as I get off my lazy arse (not sure when though). I also have not been editing and posting due to other distractions (stares at huge backlogs spanning few years) but will slowly try to get back into the momentum.
Anyway, recently a few of us got together and embarked on a Lego project spanning two weekends. I always remembered playing with Lego when I was kid and recently got to relive my childhood when we had a gathering at Captian Kerk's rebel base to assemble the Lego Death Star.

The battle on Hoth from the Empire Strikes Back.

Here's an indicator on how big the Lego Death Star packaging was.

Here's the constructor's manual.

Given a few of us were there we loaded soft copies of the manual onto iPads so that everyone could get in on the action. The Death Star was divided into four boxes each containing smaller bags of Lego pieces.

Starting off with the base...
All your base are belong to us!
We split up into groups to build the quadrants on each floor.

We'd build the base for each quadrant, then add it onto the Death Star and continue construction from there.

To Tatooine and beyond... Buzz Lightyear and the aliens decide to have a little frolick around the Death Star.

That's all for now, stay tuned for Part II.
